Hi, I’m Margarita, a 30-year-old runner based in Miami, Florida. I have been running for over 13 years—most recently I competed in the Mack’s Cycle Triathlon relay and placed in second—and am currently training to run my first marathon in April 2018: the Paris Marathon. I am nervous and excited all at once!

When I am not running, I work as an environmental professional and writer. I am a published author (of The HUNT Miami) and write two other blogs: (1) ThankYouMiami.com, a Miami blog where visitors and locals can relish in the paradise lifestyle (as well as find out what’s new in our beautiful city), and MargaritaWells.com, a professional development blog where I share useful tips and resources to advance in your career.

I started this blog to share my training logs—the good, the bad and the ugly—as I venture into marathon training and to trade favorite routes, race stories, run clubs, gear and other running resources with fellow runners. I hope that you enjoy reading it and, more importantly, engage with me in conversation in the comments or via twitter @margaritaruns. (At a minimum, I could use encouraging words during the coming months of hard work!)
